Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

This policy explains what information TAPS24K collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to describe what the platform actually does, rather than what a generic policy might say.

1.Who we are

TAPS24K is a jewellery-industry workforce and learning platform operated by Cixcent Technologies Private Limited. This policy applies to the TAPS24K website and the services we provide through it.

2.Information we collect

Depending on how you use TAPS24K, we may collect:

  • Account and contact information — your name, email address, phone number and account role.
  • Candidate profile information — your headline, location, professional summary, preferences such as expected salary and preferred locations, and personal details you choose to add to your profile.
  • Work history, education and skills that you add to your profile.
  • Resumes and documents you upload.
  • Job applications, including the role applied for, application status and anything you submit with the application.
  • Learning information — course enrolments, lesson and assignment progress, quiz and exam activity, and certificates issued to you.
  • Employer and organisation information — company details, team membership and the roles you publish.
  • Messages and platform interactions, including conversations you take part in.
  • Verification information — documents and details submitted for identity, employment or background verification, where you take part in those workflows.
  • Payment and transaction records for purchases you make.
  • Technical and security information — such as device and log information generated when you use the platform.

Some of the details a candidate profile can hold are sensitive — for example date of birth, gender, address details, or partial government identifier references used in verification workflows. We collect these only where you provide them or where they are needed for a workflow you have entered into, and we handle them with additional care.

3.How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create and operate your account and provide the platform's features.
  • Enable recruitment — publishing roles, submitting and reviewing applications, and helping employers and candidates connect.
  • Provide learning services, track progress and issue certificates.
  • Run verification workflows where you take part in them.
  • Process payments, invoices and refunds for purchases.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Keep the platform secure, investigate misuse and prevent fraud.
  • Send you service communications about your account and activity.
  • Meet our legal, regulatory and accounting obligations.
  • Understand how the platform is used so we can improve it.

4.Candidate visibility to employers

This section is important, so we want to be precise about it.

TAPS24K includes a candidate discovery feature. Employers and recruiters with an account can search a directory of candidates who are open to opportunities. This means a candidate who is open to opportunities may be found by an employer they have never applied to.

For newly created candidate profiles, appearing in that directory is off by default — a new profile is not placed into employer discovery unless the candidate turns on “Open to opportunities” in their privacy settings. Profiles created before this default changed keep whatever setting they already had; we did not change existing candidates' choices for them.

You can turn “Open to opportunities” on or off at any time from your profile privacy settings.

5.Contact details and privacy settings

Your profile privacy settings include a control for hiding your contact details. When it is switched on, your phone number and email address are hidden from the candidate profile views that employers and recruiters use.

This control applies to those profile views. It does not remove contact information that appears somewhere else — for example, details you have written inside a resume or a document you uploaded, or information you share yourself in a message or in your profile text. If you want to limit what an employer can see, it is worth checking the content of the documents you upload as well as your settings.

We are continuing to improve how consistently this control is applied across the platform.

6.When you apply for a job

When you apply for a role, the information associated with that application is made available to the employer or recruiter responsible for it, so they can review and process your application. That includes your professional profile information and anything you submit with the application.

Applying does not automatically publish your details to other employers.

7.Resumes and documents

A resume or document you submit with an application is made available to the hiring users responsible for that role, so they can assess your application.

Documents are stored using access-controlled links rather than being published openly. Please keep in mind that a document's own contents — including any contact details written inside it — are visible to whoever is entitled to open it.

8.Talent Passport

You can create a Talent Passport, a professional summary of your profile, and generate a link to share it.

Anyone who has that link can open the shared professional information while the link remains valid, without needing a TAPS24K account. Share links are valid for a limited period.

The publicly shared view is deliberately narrower than your full profile. It presents professional information such as your name, headline, location, skills, certificates, education and work history, and it excludes compensation information — including salary expectations and per-role salary history — as well as certain personal attributes. Please share the link only with people you intend to share this information with.

9.Learning information

When you enrol in a course we process your enrolment, your progress through lessons and materials, your assignment and assessment activity, and any certificate issued to you. Trainers responsible for a course can see learner progress for that course.

10.Payments

When you purchase a paid service, payment is handled by an authorised third-party payment provider. Your card or other payment credentials are entered with and processed by that provider.

We retain records of the transaction — such as amount, tax, status, invoice details and what the payment relates to — because we need them to provide the service, support you, handle refunds and meet accounting and legal obligations.

11.Verification information

If you take part in identity, employment or background verification, we process the details and documents you submit for that purpose, and record the outcome so that verification indicators can be shown where applicable.

Verification documents are handled with access controls appropriate to their sensitivity.

12.Messaging

Where you use messaging on the platform, we process the messages you send and receive and the identities of the people in the conversation, so we can deliver the conversation, notify participants, support you if something goes wrong, and investigate misuse.

13.Service providers

We rely on third-party providers to run parts of the platform. These fall into the following categories:

  • Payment processing, for purchases and refunds.
  • Email, SMS and messaging delivery, for one-time codes and service notifications.
  • Video conferencing, for online sessions and interviews where those are scheduled.
  • Cloud hosting and storage, where the platform and uploaded files are hosted.
  • Error monitoring, to detect and diagnose technical problems.

These providers process information on our behalf for the purposes described above.

14.Security

We use technical and organisational safeguards to protect information on the platform, including access controls, encrypted connections and access-controlled links for uploaded files.

No online service can be completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us straight away.

15.How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the service to you, to keep the platform secure, and to meet our legal, accounting and compliance obligations. Some records — such as payment and invoice records — are kept for longer because we are required to retain them.

We are working towards published retention schedules for each category of information.

16.Deleting your account or data

You can submit a request to have your account and associated data erased, from your privacy settings.

Submitting a request records it for processing; it does not delete everything instantly. Requests are handled subject to verification of the request, our operational procedures, and any legal, accounting or regulatory obligations that require us to retain certain records. We will let you know the outcome of your request.

17.Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to request erasure, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Many of these you can act on directly: you can edit your profile, change your visibility and contact settings, and submit an erasure request from your account. For anything else, contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law.

18.Children

TAPS24K is intended for use by working professionals and by people seeking employment or professional training in the jewellery industry. It is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can look into it.

19.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform develops or as legal requirements change. When we make a material change, we will update the “last updated” date above and take reasonable steps to let you know.

20.Contact us

If you have a question about this policy, or about how your information is handled, please contact us.
